The Biggest Hair Trends To Try This Fall

Autumn is just around the corner, and it’s the perfect excuse to switch up your hairstyle. Whether you prefer a bold, casual or minimalist look, there’s truly something for everyone when it comes to hair trends this season. Neon colors, chic headwear, and the long bob are some of the biggest styles we can expect to see this fall.

Neon dye

At the last New York Fashion Week, neon hair colors were revealed to be one of the biggest trends for this fall. This means shocking fluorescent shades like pink, purple, yellow, green, blue and orange. You may want to dye your entire head for a dramatic and unmissable look, or opt instead for subtler highlights. If you’re looking for inspiration: the beautiful shade Classic Blue is Pantone’s Color of The Year — it’s described as “a shade reminiscent of the sky at dusk.” Of course, dying your hair neon is a bold move. It’s wise to have a hair color remover on hand just in case your dye job doesn’t go to quite plan. An effective yet gentle dye remover will restore hair back to its original hue with minimal hassle. Be sure to choose a gentle product that doesn’t cause further damage to your hair — or else you may end up with dried out hair that looks and feels like straw.

Chic headwear

Whether it’s hats, caps, slides, bandanas or headscarves, headwear is set to be everywhere this fall. In particular, wearing a hat adorned with flowers is an easy way to achieve an on-trend autumnal look. At Dries Van Noten’s fall 2020 runway, for example, models wore simple black hats studded with various pretty flower-shaped metallic appliqués. Bandanas and head scarves are another new trend that can be worn in a variety of ways depending on your desired look. At Christian Dior, simple satin bandanas discreetly featuring the brand’s letter logo were showcased. If you’d rather wear a simple hair clip, you’ll have a number of styles to choose from, including ones decorated with flowers and jewels.

The lob

The lob — otherwise known as the long bob — is another hairstyle that’s going to be big this fall. You’ll be glad to know the lob is an extremely low maintenance and flattering haircut, which suits pretty much all face shapes and hair types. Edgy yet elegant at the same time, this cut typically sits just above the shoulders or at shoulder level, with layering added for extra movement and volume. With a lob, you have enough length to sport a ponytail if desired. However, when worn down, this flexible hairstyle is still short enough to enhance your facial features and frame your face effectively.

Fall is set to welcome a whole host of exciting, fun and fresh hair trends. Neon colors, chic headwear, and the long bob are just some of the biggest styles you can expect to be popular this season.
